2017 Project Excellence Awards

We are pleased to announce that, with our charity Lifetime Learning, we are this year's winner of the Project Excellence Awards.

Our Project Overview

Our greatest achievement! With our charity, Lifetime Learning, we have created an innovative software to support Special Schools with an in-depth analysis of their current pupils. Thanks to technology, we have gained a significant competitive advantage and are supporting special schools to identify strengths and weaknesses. To achieve this, we have undergone many organisational changes to gain early access to Department for Education 2017 data including certifications in ISO27001, Cyber Essentials Certification and more.

About the Award

BCS & Computing UK IT Industry Awards is a platform for the entire profession to celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. This year's Awards featured 25 categories which covered: project, organisation, technology and individual excellence. The categories were open to organisations and individuals involved in IT across the public, not for profit and commercial sectors.

Paul Fletcher, Group Chief Executive Officer of BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT said:

"Congratulations to all the winners and those who are highly commended in the UK IT Industry 2017 Awards. They perfectly demonstrate how the UK can and does make the most of its talent, recognising the highest levels of excellence across today's IT sector. The standard of applications we received this year was outstanding, showcasing some of the brightest and best in our industry. The winners stood out as exceptional and inspiring, and should be very proud of their success."

Our Success

We have witnessed our software support schools in transformational change (including coasting schools and schools facing challenging circumstances) by providing them with a work ethic to achieve an effective evaluation of progress, set targets and support school improvement interventions. We would like to acknowledge that it was the positive feedback that we have received from providing ASSET, which initially stimulated our application.

We are so pleased that our efforts to improve schools has been recognised and acknowledged. This has encouraged us to continue making our software better and further support schools.

The significance of our innovative IT product has been made evident to BCS, the impact which it has been noticed and we couldn't be more proud.

' Innovative new software products making the biggest contribution to business technology. '
